T'ai Chi Ch'uan (Taijiquan)
T'ai Chi is a traditional Chinese exercise, suitable for adults of all
ages, which results in improved fitness and health, in addition to being
a profound martial art, a way of cultivating intrinsic energy of the body
(qi) and a form of meditation.
Training with Wutan begins with Yang style t'ai chi, the most suitable
form for beginners. Those wishing to study further will progress through
pushing hands, da lu, san shou and weapons (sword, broardsword, spear and
pole) and other traditional styles of t'ai chi - Sun, Wu and Chen.
Wutan also teach the internal arts of pa kua (bagua) and hsing-i (xingyi)
which complement the t'ai chi training.

I started t'ai chi in London
in 1974 but my first lesson with Wutan's UK
founder, They Soon Tuan in 1982 convinced me that I needed to begin
again. After seventeen years continuous training with Sifu They I also
began to study with his master, Wu Song Fa, and became one of his twelve UK
disciples.
In 1989 I began teaching t'ai chi under Sifu They's direction while
continuing to study and develop my own understanding and knowledge.

I began studying t'ai
chi with Wutan's UK
founder, They Soon Tuan in 1985 and in 1989, began studying kungfu as
well. Then in 1999 I began to study with Sifu They's master, Master Wu
Song Fa, being priveleged to become one of Master Wu's twelve UK
disciples.
I have been teaching since 1989 while continuing to develop my own art
under the direction of Sifu They and Master Wu.
